Thank you to Worsborough Bridge AFC for allowing this mid week game to be played under their floodlights @Pinto_Property Stadium.
Warm up at the Pinto Property Stadium,

Kick-off,
First 15 mins saw both teams testing each other out in midfield. then...
16' Wow! After 2 free kicks in the cup Sophie Crosby is at it again! What a strike! 1-0
then back to a midfield tussle
30' Sophie Crosby puts in a wonderful ball from a free kick, the ball falls to Lissa Woodhouse in the box but she can't beat the keeper.
32' Yet another quality delivery from Crosby. She whips in a free kick which is met by Amy Woodruff who heads it in. 2-0.
38' Goal for Brighouse. Good finish from their number 16, who sticks it in the bottom corner. 2-1.
40' Darcie Greene puts in a good corner, Annie Ward arrives but puts it over the bar.
44' After turning the defender, Amy Woodruff strikes it from the edge of the box forcing a good save out of the keeper.
45+ Some good link up play between Sophie Bell and Amy Woodruff before Darcie Green gets a shot away that goes just over the bar
Half Time | A competitive first half ends with the Reds just edging it 2-1

48' Sub for Brighouse as the Brighouse keeper goes down injured, and without a substitute, one of their outfield players takes between the sticks.
49' Goal-saving challenge from Annie Ward on the 6 yard line. Out for a corner
50' Brighouse have the ball in the net from the corner, but it’s ruled out for a foul on Lucy Turner.

65' Sub Hannah Campbell and Kath Smith replace Amy Woodruff and Lissa Woodhouse.
71' The game is getting a bit heated with tackles flying in. Jorden Spurr puts a harsh, but fair challenge in, before Brighouse retaliate by fouling Rebecca Hornsey.
76' Jade Butcher replaces Rebecca Hornsey.
80' Hannah Campbell drives towards goal but Brighouse 4 makes a great challenge.
83' A Sophie Crosby free kick is claimed by the stand-in keeper.
85' Absolute pinball in the Brighouse box, it falls to Kathryn Smith who couldn’t hit it any better, but it smacks back off the post!
89' Sophie Crosby hits the bar from 35 yards with a free kick.
90' Reds really finishing strong with Hannah Campbell sent in the clear, but her shot is fired just wide.
94' Brighouse nearly snatch it at the death but it’s cleared by the Reds. Then down the other end, Jade Butcher is flagged offside before she can get a shot away.
FULL TIME | Reds 2-2 Brighouse Town AFC Women. A pulsating second half at @WorsbroughBFC ends in a share of the spoils. The Reds could’ve stolen it at the death, hitting the woodwork twice.
Our well-wishes go to the Brighouse keeper who came off early in the second half with an injury.

After a goal, an assist and some lovely work down the left side, your Gauntlet Wakefield Limited Player of the Match is... Sophie Crosby. Absolute wand of a left peg.
