51 min Brighouse break forward and for once Lucy Turner was muscled off, but Annie Ward covered across to clear away. But it fell to the Brighouse striker who lifted the ball over the out rushing Skye Kirkham but Annie Ward was covering the goal to clear away.

71.40 min Drew Greene pressed a back pass to the keeper which resulted in a Barnsley throw, but Brighouse won the ball and quickly broke away down the right and lobed the ball into the area but Sophie Bell just managed to head clear ahead of the attacker.
80 min a high hanging cross into the Brighouse box by Drew Greene was competed for by goal keeper and Lissa Woodhouse with a free kick awarded to the keeper.

87 min Barnsley break forward through Lissa Woodhouse who threaded the ball through to Drew Greene breaking in from the right wing to shoot across the keeper and just wide of the far post.
It was all Barnsley now with Darcie Greene breaking forward in the 88th min down the left, she put Kathryn Smith through to win a corner which was headed out for another corner. Sophie Crosby took it but it was blocked away.
91 min Drew Greene lost the ball but chased down to win it back, playing square to Lissa Woodhouse whose cross was blocked out for a corner. Sophie Crosby took it to the back post where it was attacked and cleared off the line to gasps from the spectators who thought that was the winner, so close.
