Barnsley were now pressing hard and back in the game but Newcastle saw the game out with fulltime blown after 93 mins 3-2 Newcastle win and a hard one to take with two key match incidents not going Barnsley’s way today resulting in a game changing result. A draw would have been a fair result as both team put in a lot of effort and full credit to Newcastle for battling back.
Player of the match for Barnsley was Drew Greene.
Thank you to everyone who made the trip north east to give the team support on another cold winter’s day.
