
Barnsley FC Ladies kicked off on the 4G Oakwell pitch in their Red kick against Chester le Street Ladies in Blue White hoops in front of a crowd of 35 people
4 min Amy Woodruff conceded a free kick 25 yards out against Chester le Street (CLS) No 8. It was taken by their No6 but caught easily by Laura Wilson.
8 min Rebecca Fevers won a brave header into the path of Drew Greene who got it under control and then threaded a pass through into the path of Demi Pringle as she broke the off side line, shaping up to shoot over the keeper but it hit the underside of the cross bar bouncing down and away from the goal line to gasps from the crowd.
11 min Drew Greene made a dummy run drawing a defender to create space for Rebecca Fevers to play into Amy Woodruff, who although closely defended managed to poke a toe out to shoot goal ward which the CLS goal keeper gathered under pressure from Demi Pringle, but the Referee deemed a bit too much awarding the free kick for CLS to clear.
12 min CLS were awarded a free kick in the right corner of the Barnsley half, Laura Wilson punched strongly and Kristie Ward and then Amy Woodruff cleared
21 min Rebecca Fevers put pressure on the CLS midfield, winning the ball to play to Anna Cairns who then found Amy Woodruff. Taking on the CLS defence she was able to get to the goal line before crossing into the area where Rebecca Fevers hit a strong shot which was blocked in the goal area and cleared. It fell to Anna Cairns and she was awarded a free kick 22 yards out. She took the free-kick hit it sweetly into the top right of the goal, 23 mins gone and Barnsley were ahead 1-0
30 min CLS No 10 picked up the ball on the centre line and dribbled straight through the Barnsley midfield and defence, Emily Ward dashed across from right back to exert some pressure as she hit her shot from the edge of the penalty area, fortunately over the top of the cross bar.
34 min a poor CLS goal kick was intercepted by Amy Woodruff, she played the ball through the CLS defence and Drew Greene ran onto it to slot past the right hand of the goal keeper and inside the left hand post. There were appeals for off side against Demi Pringle but these were brushed away by the officials as she played no active part in the attack.
35 min Lucy Turner thwarted an attack by the CLS No9 by getting between her and the ball, under pressure she cleared on the turn away for a throw in.
37 min Darcie Green broke forward from left back to then play to Demi Pringle who made a strong run dribbling passed 3 defenders from left wing to central before being tripped 25 yards out. From the free kick Kristie Ward was adjudged to have handled as she controlled the ball at the back post and tried to play Demi Pringle in.
42 min Abbie Parkin played in Rebecca Fevers in the right wing channel. Her trickery managed to make space to cross into the goal area where it was met by both the goal keeper and Demi Pringle with the goal keeper just getting there first and the ball was cleared.

46 min CLS are straight on the attack with their No7 down the left wing channel before crossing deep into their No9 who hit it back towards the goal where Kristie Ward acrobatically cleared it off the line.
50 min Amy Woodruff won a Barnsley corner on the left side from which Anna Cairns swung the ball right into the centre of the penalty area from where it was cleared but only as far as Anna Cairns who struck her shot which hit the top right corner of the goal frame.
56 min following over reaching the CLS goal keeper after receiving treatment was swapped as they had no substitutes, she came back on as an attacker before leaving the field after 80 mins.
59 min Lucy Turner jumped up and over the CLS forward to make a clearing header but she fell heavily as well as conceding the free kick. She was a little winded but recovered.
62 min Anna Cairns played Amy Woodruff through, with the CLS goal keeper rushing out Amy reached it first and took it around her but from a narrow angle she hit it over the cross bar.
63 min a heavy challenge on Demi Pringle by No9 was penalised just with a free kick wide on the left from which Kristie Ward hit on target which the goal keeper gathered at the second attempt.
65 min changes for Barnsley with Drew Greene and Emily Ward replaced by Holly Findlay and Elisha James on her debut.
66 min Anna Cairns took a throw to Demi Pringle who then played to Amy Woodruff to hit the ball wide.
69 min Elisha James hit a long pass down the right wing for Holly Findlay to chase down and cross into the CLS goal keeper.
75 min Holly Findlay again broke down the right wing from an Elisha James clearance, this time though her cross found Demi Pringle unmarked to head into the goal, 3-0 Barnsley
78 min Demi Pringle and Holly Findlay pressed both the CLS goal keeper and right back managing to win a free kick.
81 min CLS No9 attacked to the goal line with Lucy Turner defending well, but she managed to play out to the unmarked No10 on the penalty spot to slot into the Barnsley goal bottom right. 3-1
83 min CLS were now starting to build attacks and they managed to get a shot on target which was caught easily by Laura Wilson
85 min Anna Cairns hit a long cross field pass from left wing to Rebecca Fevers on the right wing, she attacked her defender to win a throw, from which a free kick was awarded to Barnsley, but it was cleared.
87 min CLS No9 almost broke through the Barnsley defensive line but she was brought down just outside the penalty area by Kristie Ward, who was cautioned for spoiling a promising attack. Laura Wilson punched the free kick away but it was crossed back in and the block header from Abbie Parkin had to be saved by Laura Wilson past her left post. From the resulting corner the CLS goal keeper had come up and headed just wide.
90 min Anna Cairns launched another attack down the left wing to Amy Woodruff who played in Demi Pringle, but her shot was cleared and the final whistle sounded. 3-1 Win Barnsley .
Darcie Greene was named Opposition player of the Match for her tenacity defending the left back area and the occasional burst forward to link up with the forward line.
