This Second Round FA Cup Fixture not only attracted plenty of interest but also set the record for the FA WNL crowd size outside the final
The Reds received many messages of support including from a couple of famous Barnsley Lads : Sir Michael Parkinson CBE and ex Red player and Football Manager Mick McCarthy.
They were of course our faithful fanbase including Fran Marshall who is here modelling our Hat and Scarf which is available to buy

The team headed up to Newcastle the night before and were pretty relaxed about it all
Then it was Matchday and spirits were lifted by this lovely pre-match inspirational message from one of our Junior Reds followed a team walk in the Newcastle countryside

Then it was time to experience St James Park which had a special message above the tunnel walk out nice touch.

Oh to walk out and line up in front of a crowd of 28,565. What an experience for both players and to inspire the young mascots. and this is what it looked like.
