3 min and first chance to Barnsley when Drew Greene pulls back to edge of six yard but Danielle Whitham’s effort is deflected behind with help from the keeper. Sophie Crosby swings in the corner into a crowded penalty area where it is hit by Rebecca Hornsey against the crossbar.
7 min time for Sheffield to have a corner but it is safely cleared.
12 min Barnsley free kick from 25 yards out is struck well by Sophie Crosby, but straight at keeper.
16 min Drew Greene manages to keep the ball in by the right side goal line, she plays it back to Sophie Bell who squares it to Danielle Whitham 10 yards out to smash into the corner of the goal. Barnsley 1-0
19 min the ball breaks loose on edge of Sheffield penalty area, Lissa Woodhouse picks it up and threads through to Darcie Greene sponsored by iVision. One on one her shot is well saved by the keeper but she volleys the rebound home from a tight angle. 2-0 Barnsley
24 min corners at both ends are safely cleared by the opposition defences
26 min great play involving Sophie Bell, Lissa Woodhouse, Mollie Crump and Drew Greene ending with Drew putting in a great cross but Sheffield manage to scramble it clear
34 min Barnsley free kick taken by Sophie Crosby flummoxes the keeper but smack against the upright
38 min nice feet from Sheffield No10 leaves the Reds twisting and turning, it eventually deflects through to Skye Kirkham.
39 min a back pass from Lucy Turner to Skye Kirkham is misjudged and it goes straight under her foot and into the open net. 2-1 Barnsley
41 min a great challenge by Rebecca Hornsey denies a definite goal scoring chance.
44 min Sheffield have come alive a bit as the half comes to a close with some great defending from the Reds to keep the score line to 2-1
Half time The Reds have dominated for the majority of the half with two great goals, but one mistake has closed the gap.
47 min Molly Harvard for Sheffield FC snatches at a strike and it sails over the crossbar from 18 yards out
54 min two good chances for the reds from corners, first on is cleared off the line and the second one is dragged just wide by Annie Ward

60 min Barnsley corner is recycled and falls to Danielle Whitham. She nips past one defender but her shot is deflected and comfortably gathered by the keeper
63 min Lissa Woodhouse and the Sheffield keeper both go up for the same ball. Keeper ends up in a heap and free-kick awarded so Sheffield can clear.
65 min the ball falls for Danielle Whitham 22 yards out, she hits it on the half volley but keeper gathers cleanly
67 min a bit of loose defending from Barnsley allows Sheffield a chance but it is eventually cleared

70 min Lissa Woodhouse breaks through the Sheffield defence and beats the defender for pace. The Keeper comes out and does well to get down and block the shot away.

89 min great strength from Shannon Durkin to play in Amy Woodruff. She turns away from her defender and her shot is well struck and well saved.
92 min Sheffield have good corners as throw the last dice at Barnsley building the pressure but the Reds defence is resolute and they are well cleared
93 min a great chance to clinch it on the break but Danielle Whitham’s shot is parried away
96 min and it’s all over Barnsley FC Ladies win 2-1 and are SHFA County cup Semi-finalists.
