Barnsley Women FC Reserves vs Leeds Utd U23 FC

In what was extremely windy conditions, Leeds won the toss and chose to play with the wind behind them. This proved to be a vital decision as Barnsley struggled to get out of their half at times but did create a few chances before finally taking the lead on the 23rd min.
Ellie Brightmore played a well disguised through ball for Lauryn Wilcock who took a touch and fired into the bottom corner. Leeds equalised 7 mins later from a cross from a free kick and then took the lead when they were awarded a penalty that was coolly despatched.
Conditions improved in the second half as the wind died down but both teams struggled to create any clear cut chances throughout the half. The Reds pushed hard looking for the equaliser but it wasn't to be and the game finished 1-2 to Leeds
