Barnsley Women FC Reserves vs Sheffield FC Development

After being 1-0 down at half time the Reserves completely turned the game around to finish 6-1 winners! With Ellie Brightmore sponsored by getting four.
The victory puts the Reds into the draw for the next round of the County Cup.

Congratulations to Jess Lee and Niamh Ashley who made their first starts for Barnsley Women Reserves along with Ellie Beevers who came off the bench, great to see our U18's making the step up.

Ellie Brightmore got the reds first goal of the game when she got on the end of a cross from Emily Pierrepont to power the ball past the keeper.
Ellie returned the favour 5mins later when she slid the ball through for Emily to run onto and fire the ball into the net.
The pair linked up again for Barnsley's 3rd of the game after Em P squared the ball for Brightmore to coolly finish.
Pierrepont got her 2nd of the game when Wilcock put a great ball through for her to run onto which she hit on the bounce and fired the ball into the top corner.
Brightmore got her hat-trick 2 mins later when Pierrepont delivered a great ball for her to get on the end of and finish.
The scoring was rounded off by Brightmore 5 mins later when she finished from a drilled cross by Wilcock.
After scoring 4 goals in the second half and looking a threat every time she got near the goal, POTM as voted for by the opposition goes to... ELLIE BRIGHTMORE!!
