Nottingham Forest Reserves vs Barnsley Women FC Reserves

In what was a game of two halves, the reserves more than competed with Nottingham Forest reserves in the cup. Despite Forest being a league above, there was no gulf in class & the Reds were the better team in the 1st half so were unlucky not to be ahead at half time. With the teams level at 2-2, Forest switched it up Second half. This stifled the creativity of the Reds going forward & with fatigue setting in forest took advantage to get 2 more goals. Final score Forest 4-2. Great effort by everyone involved though.

Jade Butcher rose above the defence to get on the end of a corner and power home a great header on 25 minutes with POTM Lauryn Wilcock as a constant threat in the first half especially with her direct running, providing good crosses and link up play as well as getting on the scoresheet after getting on the end of a great cross from Emily Pierrepont.
