Barnsley FC Ladies is pleased to announce that it has changed its name to Barnsley Women’s Football Club.
The name has been changed to reflect the current terminology in Women’s Football and in Women’s Sport more generally.
Several other Women’s teams are also in the process of changing their names to include “Women” instead of “Ladies”.
The England Women’s team and the Women’s Super League are leading the way for Women’s Football
