Club Overview
Barnsley Women’s Football Club is very proud of our town of Barnsley, and we promote and encourage Women & Girls football in Barnsley and the surrounding area.
Our First Team currently plays in the FA Women’s National League Division 1 North. Our Junior Teams play in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Women & Girls League.

Barnsley Women’s Football Club was formed in 1982, under the name “Barnsley Ladies FC”. Our Club used the name “Barnsley Ladies FC” for 34 years until the end of the 2016/17 Season when it changed its name to “Barnsley FC Ladies” for the following two Seasons until the end of 2018/19. On 16 March 2018, Barnsley Women’s Football Club Limited took over the Club and we changed our name to "Barnsley Women’s Football Club” for the 2019/20 Season.

Home Matches are played at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, normally on a Sunday at 2 pm and you can follow us on Twitter

2019/20 FA Women's National league Division 1 North heading the race for promotion when the season was expunged due to Covid-19 and made it through to the 4th Round of the Womens FA Cup before losing to Tottenham Hotspur.
2018/19 - FA Women's National league Division 1 North finishing 4th (41 points) but won the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Cup
2017/18 - FA Women’s Premier league Northern Division 1 finishing 11th (17 pts)
2016/17 - Promoted from NERWFL League Champions (51 pts) & NERWFL League Cup Winners
2016/17 - SHFA Women's County Cup- Runners up
2015/16 - NERWFL Premier Division 2nd 51 points & SHFA Women's County Cup - Winners
2014/15 - NERWFL Premier Division 3rd 40 points
