12th July: Bethan Davies Goalkeeper
We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Bethan Davies from Guiseley Vixens.
The 21-year-old joined up with the squad ahead of our first pre-season game.

Bethan said: “I’m delighted to be signing for Barnsley. The club has big ambitions and drive.
“The talent level, hard work and professionalism of the players and the staff creates a fantastic atmosphere. I can’t wait to start!”

18th July: Jorden Spurr Central Midfield
This central midfielder has joined the Reds in pre-season ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Jorden said: “I’m happy to be signing. It’s a great club with big ambitions. There’s a good atmosphere amongst the staff and players and I’m really enjoying it.”
“They’ve all made me feel really welcome and I’m looking forward to starting the new season.”
Chris said “I’m really happy to get Jorden on board. Not only is she a talented footballer but she is a great leader as well” “We are excited to start working with her for the season ahead”

19th July: Barnsley Women’s FC announced the signing of 17 year old Jade Butcher.
The centre half joins the Reds from Sheffield FC ahead of the upcoming campaign

Jade commented: “I’m over the moon to be signing for Barnsley. It’s great to be at a club with such high standards and ambition.”
“The professionalism is second to none and the atmosphere at training is really good. I can’t wait for the season to start!
Chris adds: “Jade is a very talented defender. At the age of 17 she has a really bright future in the game and I hope we can develop her and help her progress in the game.”
“We’re delighted that she’s chosen to sign for us"

Kim Brown has also joined us from Sheffield United to provide Defensive support.

2nd August: Following the announcement that our shirt sponsor for this season is BizEDocs, an Australian ‘Electronic Document Management’ company. We are very grateful for their support this season.
We then revealed our new home and away kits and are delighted to be working with @capellisport this season our official kit manufacturer. Our BRAND NEW home kit was revealed in pre-season, and will be played in for the remainder of the season.

The Club advertised for two roles within its Marketing team. A Press Assistant and a Marketing Assistant for the upcoming 2019/20 season and we are pleased to announce Rob Harker and Connor Smith will be joining our existing team of Natalie Jackson and Josh Chapman as we look to increase the profile of the club and serve the great support base better.

Pre-season campaign has gone well with good results against higher league opposition and team building events such as this one at RAF Waddington, on which Chris commented “Huge effort and a lot learnt!” These are the pictures:
